Why would I need this service?
Awareity MOAT Security Awareness Training is required for all faculty, staff, and students before authorizing access to NSU's IT systems. The purpose is to provide users with awareness of system security requirements and of their responsibilities to protect IT systems and data.
The link to take the MOAT training is https://va.moatusers.com. To log in, use your entire email address. In case you do not recall your password, there is a “Forgot Your Password?” link on the login page.
Reinstatement Requirements:
- Complete MOAT Training
- Print Certificate of Completion
- Sign and Date the Certificate of Completion as the Trainee
- Have your Supervisor Sign the Certificate of Completion
- Complete MOAT Reinstatement Form: https://www.nsu.edu/About/Administrative-Offices-Services/its/files/MOAT-Account-Reinstatement.aspx
- Check each box on the Form as your complete them
- Complete and Sign the REQUESTOR Section with your Information
- Have your Supervisor Complete and Sign the SUPERVISOR Section with their Information
- Click the "MOAT Reinstatement Button" to upload your Signed and Approved MOAT Certificate and MOAT Reinstatement form or send to Security@nsu.edu or fax to (757) 823-2128 or (757) 823-8117
*Incomplete forms will not be accepted*

What happens after I submit the request?
You will receive an email confirming that you entered the request. OIT will follow up with you once your request has been received. If you have any other questions or concerns, please go to the Client Portal and sign in to check the status of your ticket(s) or contact Client Services at 757-823-8678 or via email clientservices@nsu.edu with a phone number we can reach you concerning this ticket request.
