Purpose

The purpose of this job aid is to instruct users on how to browse and enroll in optional or required learning content in workday.

When to Use

Brief bullet points explaining when the user should reference or follow this job aid.

  • You are enrolling in a course, training, or module for the first time

  • You are having difficulty locating available courses

  • You would like to request additional scheduled offerings

  • You are new to the learning management system (LMS)

Steps

1. Search for and select the Browse Learning Content reporting using the search bar.

  • You can also access this reporting through the Learning application.

2. Use the search bar at the top of the screen and filter options in the left column to narrow search results for learning content.

3. Select a course from the list to enroll in.

4. Review the Course Description.

  •  If there are multiple lessons within the course, they will appear under the Lessons in This Course tab.
  • Topic details appear under the Show All link or the Additional Course Details tab.
  • If there are equivalencies to the course, there will be a View Equivalencies link.

5. Depending on whether the course is digital or blended, the following button will appear:

  • Digital Courses (Self-study/self-directed, eLearning, On-Demand)
    1. Enroll: Digital courses that require enroll will have the option to Enroll.
    2. Start Course: Digital courses that are on-demand and do not require enrollment will have the option to Start Course.
  • Blended Courses (Instructor-led/In-person, Virtual Instructor-led/Virtual)
  1. Select Offering: Blended courses (virtual or in-person) will have the option to Select Offering. After you click Select Offering, select the checkbox of the offering you wish to enroll in.

6. For courses that require enrollment, review the final details of the course enrollment before clicking on the submit button

Notes & Tips

  • If there is no offering available, or you are unable to attend one of the available offerings, you can click Express Interest for some courses to request additional offerings to be scheduled. However, this does not guarantee that an offering will be made available.

  •  Not all courses require enrollment – some digital self-paced courses are available on-demand, while instructor-led courses require you to select a scheduled offering.
